About Ashes to Ashes, Crust to Crust

ASHES TO ASHES DUST TO DUST sees upscale pizzeria owner, Delilah, battling on several fronts. The pizzeria needs a cash infusion if it’s going to stay open, why is her joint custody cat, Butterball, in a funk, why is her Great Aunt Biz so crabby. Things go from bad to worse with a break-in at the pizzeria, a hitman seen hanging around in Geneva Bay, then the visiting celebrity chef who fired her partner, Sonya, is murdered.

My thoughts about Ashes to Ashes, Crust to Crust

While this is the second in the series, you can read it without reading the first book.

Written in a fast-paced, detailed, and descriptive style with a casual, cozy feel. Delilah is a relatable main character – plus size, always curious and questioning, and determined to keep her pizzeria in business while helping out her friends and loved ones – even when they don’t necessarily want the help. All of the characters, including Butterball the cat, are vividly described with distinct personalities.

The multiple interwoven mysteries have Delilah’s puzzler working overtime as she tries to untangle everything, clear her friends, and save her business. And maybe figure out what’s going on with sexy Detective Capone. The resolution was satisfying. Includes queer and diverse rep. The included recipes look delicious. And I can’t wait for the next book!

In closing

Perfect for fans of culinary cozies like those by Mia P. Manansala and Valerie Burns
