Fashionable, privileged Jada’s been cut off by her parents so she needs a job. Her NFL team-owning grandmother suggests she works at a cupcake shop. One that happens to be owned by player Donovan Dell, the sexy but stuck-up guy Jada insulted when she stopped in Sugar Blitz with her friend Olivia. Oops. Then Donovan surprises her by agreeing to take her on. What they didn’t count on were those sweet and spicy vibes between them!

The pacing was great for a frothy fun read. I enjoyed the banter between Jada and Donovan. Jada was relatable in not being sure of her career path and the friction that caused in a family with successful parents. 

I admired Donovan’s grit and determination to take the chaos of his childhood and turn that into a life plan to achieve his goals but his ability to loosen up when it mattered. His willingness to defend Jada made my heart melt.

The chemistry between these two was fire!

In closing

I’m seriously hoping we get another book featuring one of Donovan’s bakery partners.

FAKE IT TILL YOU BAKE IT is a delicious confection of a contemporary romance.
