As two neighborhood shop owners battle for business, they prove opposites attract in this outrageously funny romantic comedy from the USA Today bestselling author of Meet Cute.
Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting is the perfect meet-cute, enemies to lovers, culinary romance. Blaire has worked hard to open up the cupcake and cocktail shop of her dreams. She’s found an affordable space, made sure that it’s Insta ready. And perfected all of her delicious cupcake and cocktail pairings that the shop has on offer.
There’s no way she’s letting next-door neighbor Ronan with his newly renovated sports bar, complete with axe-throwing, ruin a single moment of her plans.
The romcom starts the moment she marches next door to complain about the axe throwing against their shared wall. Clutching shattered glassware, she forcefully tells him off. Only to ruin a dramatic exit by stepping in dog poop. Ew and oops!
Ronan is swoony and hot with a sense of humor that Blaire doesn’t appreciate. Maybe because it involves him leaving fake dog poop outside her door?
Anyway, no matter how gorgeous he is, she’s not going to back down from some neighborly competition.
Until a new corporate neighbor spells even bigger competition for both of them. Can they put their one-up-manship on hold and combine forces to take out the competition?
My thoughts
Utterly charming. Blaire is relatable, fluster-able, and fiercely determined. Ronan is good-natured, loyal, and totally hot. They make a perfect couple in this fast, frothy read. Definitely recommend it.

If you enjoy romcoms, try Meet Cute by Helena Hunting. From Goodreads, “Talk about an embarrassing introduction. On her first day of law school, Kailyn ran quite literally into the actor she crushed on as a teenager, ending with him sprawled on top of her.”

Loved the Boyfriend Project!!
Me too! I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
