About Someone Just Like You

Growing up together should’ve made Molly and Jude friends. Or at least friendly. Instead, they’ve been engaged in a decades long prank war. Constantly trying to one-up each other. Now their siblings have given them an assignment, find the perfect venue for their parents’ joint surprise party. And what starts off as another reason to prank each other turns into something else. Maybe friendship? Or if they both stop fighting the attraction, maybe something more.

My thoughts about Someone Just Like You

Someone Just Like You has all of the opposites attract, enemies to friends to lovers, why don’t they just talk already vibes that you could ever hope for! You get witty banter plus serious name-calling, adorable dogs, tangled family dynamics, Jewish rep, and some serious cocktail love.

Meredith Schorr does a great job of creating relatable and likable MCs. Her pop culture references, including working Beatles’ lyrics into her characters’ conversations, are on point. The career and family dilemmas both MCs faced felt all too relatable and realistic – doing what you love vs what pays the bills, changing careers, being stuck in a career, and dealing with divorce.

Conclusion

Fantastic, fast-paced romcom that draws you in and keeps you riveted, determined to see how everything works out. Don’t miss Meredith Schorr’s debut, As Seen on TV. Perfect for fans of Lucy Score and Lynn Painter.

About Meredith Schorr

A born and bred New Yorker and lifelong daydreamer, Meredith Schorr fueled her passion for writing everything from restaurant reviews, original birthday cards, and even work-related emails into a career penning romantic comedies. When she’s not writing books filled with grand gestures and hard-earned happily-ever-afters or working as a trademark paralegal, she’s most often reading, running, or watching TV…for research, of course.
