I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I totally dig Jessie Mihalik’s writing! I love her SF romances with their blend of strong FMCs, sexy MMCs, and the people who love them. She creates high-stakes space adventures and then peoples them with characters who I want to spend time with. A lot of time! CAPTURE THE SUN is listed as the conclusion of the Starlight’s Shadow trilogy but I really want more books about Tavi, her crew and the Valoffs who love them.

About Capture the Sun

Capture the Sun gives you enemies to lovers with serious lust as Lexi, a recovery specialist aka thief, accepts an assignment on Valovia. When the assignment turns out to be a trap, she’s rescued by a Valovian teleporter, the very one that she vibed with on her last trip to Valovia. Until he stood her up and stole her job.

Now Lexi needs to swallow her  pride and accept Nilo’s help because both of them have team mates who’ve disappeared from Valovian airspace. And if they can’t stop the plot in motion it could mean a return to war for their respective people.

My thoughts about Capture the Sun

The tension between Lexi and Nilo isn’t just about rescuing their teammates – serious sexual tension happens. And how do you hide your lustful thoughts when you’re with a teleporter/telepath?

Love the hurt comfort between Lexi and Nilo – that he’s willing to move slowly to win her trust, letting her set the pace. Such a delicious slow burn.

In closing

This is a high-stakes heist caper against a space opera background with a steamy romance. Fast-paced fast read.

Perfect for fans of Ilona Andrews and JD Robb.
