My thoughts about Four Weddings and a Puppy
Kendall’s trying her best to keep her family’s ski resort; her latest idea is to host wedding receptions. Except she didn’t count on her chaos demon foster pup, Banner, making a guest appearance. As Banner sets a collision course for the wedding cake, Kendall has visions of wedding planner role crashing before it even gets started. Then gorgeous Olympic skier and Kendall’s childhood crush, Brody saves the day by intercepting Banner. And Kendall realizes she still has feelings for Brody. Not that she’s telling him that. Besides, he’ll be gone soon enough – back to the skiing competition circuit.
Except Brody seems in no hurry to leave. Offering to fill in at the resort. And then offering to help renovate an old chalet with Kendall. Does he really need to rehab his knee? Or is there something deeper going on?
My thoughts about Four Weddings and a Puppy
Four Weddings and a Puppy by Lizzie Shane is one of a series of books set in Pine Hollow, VT but you absolutely can read it as a standalone. Although be prepared to want to go back and read the other books.
This dual POV is opposites attract/sunshine and grump where she’s the grump, although not without cause, and he’s a sweet ray of sunshine. I love how Kendall and Brody were supportive and determined to help each other deal with past hurts and fears – pushing but never demanding.
Lots of chemistry and swoony kisses but the sex scenes are fade to black.
Kendall’s group of friends were the absolute best – always there for each other no matter what. Some of the scenes like the post-bachelorette party had me gigglesnorting like mad. So funny!
